A snapshot is a point-in-time copy of the server that you create on demand in the Arct Cloud console. Snapshots are kept until you delete them and cost $0.04 per GB per month.

Manage backups, snapshots, and resizing in the console

  1. Open the server

    In the Arct Cloud console, go to Virtual Machines and click the server name.

  2. Enable backups

    Open the Backups tab and click Enable Backups.

  3. Take a snapshot

    Create a snapshot of the server on demand.

  4. Resize to a larger plan

    Choose a larger plan for the server. It restarts on the new plan.
